Facility Rental

Your Wedding at the Historic YWCA will feature:

  • Central location in the heart of beautiful downtown Fort Worth
  • Longer rental hours. Historic YWCA books only one event per day.
  • Open vendor policy. You may select the service provider of your choice.
  • Unique way to give back. All proceeds from your rental fee benefit YWCA programs including: Free early childhood education to homeless and impoverished children in Tarrant County, housing stability for women living in homelessness and poverty and financial empowerment services for women and their families.

The historic YWCA building in downtown Fort Worth offers an ideal location to treat your guests to the charm and elegance of an earlier time. This landmark building reflects both the architectural and social character of Fort Worth in the 1920s. Designed by noted Fort Worth architect Wyatt C. Hedrick, the building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

The Great Room, located on the first floor, provides an elegant setting for a wedding ceremony or small reception. It features Spanish Renaissance styling, a beamed and stenciled ceiling of gold, teal and green, ceramic tile floor and an impressive fireplace.

The Grand Ballroom, located on the second floor, offers the ideal setting for a reception or dinner party. The Ballroom features intricate plaster detailing, gold-capped pilasters, arched windows enhanced by gold tapestry draperies, black walnut floor and a wonderful view of downtown Fort Worth. A marble staircase with wrought iron railing connects the upper-floor Ballroom with the Great Room. Elevators also provide access to the Ballroom level. The YWCA facility is handicap accessible.

Capacity: The Great Room seats up to 175 guests for a wedding ceremony; 225 for a standing reception. The Grand Ballroom seats up to 175 guests; 250 for a standing reception.
